How to Arrange a Summer Fete

The British summer is the one time we can guarantee (almost) decent weather, and from May to the beginning of September are prime months for organising an outdoor event such as a garden fete. It is quite easy to arrange such an event, especially with online solutions, and with that in mind, here are a few tips on how to arrange a summer fete in your local community.

Summer Fete

  • Hire Local Sports Grounds – If you have a community centre or local council facility with soccer pitches, this is more than enough open space for a fete. They are always looking for ways to make some extra money and you’d probably have to book a few months in advance, and with large bouncy castle hire in Bradford, top-notch amenities are available.
  • Setting your Objective – It might be for a charity, or to help the local community, and once people know where the proceeds are going, they will be happy to be a part of the event. There are many organisations that do amazing work in the community, so finding one won’t be an issue, and if there is something close to your heart, so much the better.
  • Sourcing Vendors – Very easy when you use the Internet, and after you decide exactly what kind of stalls you want, searching is easy with an online business directory. Some excellent examples are; hamburger & sandwich trailers, kebabs, ice cream and any other style of food and drink that you think will be popular.
  • Attractions – Of course, you want to make your event attractive to all age groups, and so something for everyone is recommended.

You could have a beer tent, where people could order beer and spirits, a few rides for the young children and perhaps some cooking courses or handicrafts for the local women.
