As humans, we want to fill our lives with many meaningful experiences. Many people give power to their beliefs and grow their purpose in life. But simply having a viewpoint is not enough – by taking a step further, we can push forward with our cause through activism.

Some might think that activism might be a bad thing or something done by extremists. But in reality, activism can be a very proactive activity that can help bring about major changes in the world and help it reform for the better. As such, it is the ideal opportunity for you to make sure that your beliefs hold value. But why should you fight for these beliefs? Here are a few good reasons that you should know.

Bringing Something Unique to the World

Steve Goodier once said, “Causes do matter. And the world is changed by people who care deeply about causes – about things that matter.”

When fighting for a cause, all you need is to be passionate about something that you believe can make a difference in the world. And there might be so many people who need your assistance to help them fight for the same cause as you, thus, making you a valuable asset to bringing forth something new to the table.

Understanding Yourself Better

When you stand up for the things you believe in, you increase your sense of self. This feeling allows you to set up healthy boundaries for yourself the more you start realizing the things that really matter to you. Think about the things you love, how you want the world to see them, and you will eventually learn how to advocate for others about these things as well.

Moreover, enhancing self-awareness is a great way to increase your self-confidence and grow self-respect for yourself. And once you start respecting yourself more, you are more likely to become more independent and show integrity in your behavior.

Bringing Phenomenal Changes to the World

When you are fighting for a noble cause, there will always be people who will benefit from it and can profoundly affect the way the world works.

As long as you have a strong cause that you are ready to fight for, you will find allies from everywhere who can join your cause and help you bring about a revolutionary change to the world.

Keep in mind that change does not happen overnight. But consistently working at it will eventually bear its fruits in ways you would never expect. To better understand how you can fight for a cause, consider the work done by Sam Yari – a highly acclaimed Iranian-Turkish fashion photographer, director, and the founder of the prestigious Sam Yari Studio, which focuses on the development, photography, and exhibition work that advocates the liberation of artists in strict regimes.

In 2016, Yari experienced the effects of a project called “Operation Spider,” where models and artists were arrested for creating art that was not approved of by the Islamic Republic of Iran. After emigrating to Turkey, Yari knew he had to use his photography skills to bring justice to the unfair treatment given to his fellow creators in Iran.

Among his many famous contributions to the world of photography, he held a photography exhibition, Pravada, in Kiev, Ukraine that was centered around topics that discussed restrictions, imprisonment and the killing of photographers and artists in extremist Islamic countries. His cause has gained much popularity among prominent creators and enthusiasts around the world who are helping him spread his beliefs to the world.
